Engine: Doom Snapmap

 

 

 

Doom: Portal to Hell is a level made using Doom Snapmap for Doom 2016 (id Software & Bethesda, 2016). With the same lore and gameplay but with a different storyline, the objective is to shut down a portal to hell which was accidentally opened by a team of scientists.

- Designing Level

- Game Balancing

- Placement of Enemies and GPE's

Design Goals

- Using multiple terrains, enemies, weapons and GPE's in a short gameplay experience and still avoiding populating of the level with unnecessary elements.

- Fine tuning the difficulty curve for a short and fun gameplay experience.

- Maximize the use of terrain and jump pads to provide an advantage to the player.
