Vehemence is played through the perspective of the protagonist’s memory and as such there are no dynamic mechanics and gameplay. The player explores the levels, which are indeed few best memories of the protagonist. The mood of the protagonist is conveyed by using different colours in the background. The player can interact with NPCs which will reveal the backstory of the protagonist. Once a level is complete, a mix and match screen pop's up which requires the player to match 3 quotes with 3 incidents that took place with him in the current memory (level). The player can only perform left and right movement and he/she can interact with the NPCs by pressing the ‘interact’ button.

Design Goals

- To convey the mood of the protagonist using different colours in the background.

- To convey a short emotional story through each level.

- To use important quotes in different incidents which takes place in a level and convey a message to the player.
